 The British Wheel of Yoga is recognised by the Sports Council as the
governing body for yoga in great Britain. Each County Representative holds
details of yoga classes and events in their area and arranges In Service
Training for BWY teachers to keep their qualifications up to date.
At present the area has three active Diploma Course Tutors (DCT's) who arrange
teacher training to Diploma level. This is an in depth training in all aspects
of yoga over about a three year period. Students would normally require at least
two years experience with a regular yoga class before starting the teacher
training course.
Discounts are available for British Wheel of Yoga members at local events and on goods purchased
from the Wheel.
