I have been practising yoga since 1983 and teaching local yoga classes since 2003.

In my previous fulltime jobs as a microelectronics research scientist and reliability engineer, I attempted to bring in the benefits of yoga to others. However, it was only in my penultimate job that I actually taught some of my employees yoga, saw the benefits and decided to learn how to teach yoga.

Shortly after this, I changed jobs and started a BWY Teacher Training Course with Hilary Thornburn in Shrewsbury. This was an excellent course and not only broadened but deepened my knowledge of yoga.

I completed the BWY Diploma Course Tutor training with Wendy Haring in 2009 and also a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education with the Manchester Metropolitan University and South Cheshire College also in 2009.

My aim is to make yoga easy, accessible, enjoyable and as a side benefit not only improve overall health and well-being but also flexibility, strength and centredness. 

I will be starting my first BWY Diploma Teacher Training course this year and so doing a little bit more to spread the benefits of yoga. 

 At present, I am the Marketing Officer and Web Administrator for the North West Region and I update the web pages and research various marketing methods. If you have any ideas for improving the site or for letting more people know about yoga, please let me know.
