IST BOOKINGS

Each IST day will count as 7½ CPD points and to qualify you must be present for the whole day.

There are a limited number of places on each IST day and priority will be given to BWY Diploma Holders.

Where the event is not full, remaining places will be allocated to BWY student teachers on a First Come First Served basis.

IN SERVICE TRAINING PRE-COURSE INFORMATION

NOTE RE THE BOOKING FORM

Even if you do not wish to book on one of the above days, you may make suggestions for topics for next year by filling in the lower part of the Booking Form provided and sending off to the Regional Training Officer

CONFIRMATIONS

All bookings will be confirmed with a receipt. If you require a paper receipt, please provide a Stamped Addressed Envelope. Otherwise receipts will be emailed (please supply your email address on the booking form).

TIME

Unless otherwise stated, e.g. on pre-course information, all training days will run from 10am to 4pm. Please bring a packed lunch.

MAPS & VENUES

A full address of each venue is given here to reduce the necessity for sending out maps and saving time and expense.

If you have access to the internet, visit the Website: www.multimap.com, www.streetmap.co.uk or www.theaa.com. The latter site will give you door-to-door instructions by entering postcodes etc. However, if you need a map, indicate this clearly and a map will be sent with your receipt.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

If the event has to be cancelled for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

If you cannot attend, please contact one of the organisers. Please note that your place is not transferable as events frequently have a 'waiting list'. If your place is successfully offered to another teacher, we will refund (two-thirds) of the cost. Regrettably, if there is no 'waiting list', a refund cannot be made.

POLITE NOTE

These are formal training days. To avoid embarrassment or misunderstanding, please do not bring or distribute adverts for your own classes or personal therapies.

ETHICS, EQUITY and WELFARE

I am writing to let you know that the CEO has asked me to re-arrange the way I disseminate information through the organisation.  I will no longer be submitting regular articles to you on Child Protection matters.  Any important information about Child Protection will be put out via Spectrum on an as and when basis.  I am also always available to answer queries from members.  Please note that I have updated the national website Child Protection page recently and there are a number of factsheets on there for members to refer to when you need information.  I have re-arranged them into headings (and cut down their number) with the aim of making them more user friendly.

Regards,

Helen Smith

Equity & Welfare Manager / Lead Child Protection Officer
